Ministry Profile

    FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST, Inc. was established in 1984 by David and Donna Carrico, with several areas of ministry. We often call ourselves Followers of Jesus Christ Ministries because we have so many different facets of ministry.  However, we recently became aware there is another ministry by that name.  We are not affiliated with them in any way.

    We have been blessed with contacts in several countries and almost every one of the 50 states. We have ministered in several different denominations through Seminars, Christian and Secular Radio, offer Resources of Literature, Tracts, Video and Cassette tapes, and Personal ministry, and Cell group church materials. 
    We have been blessed to have been guests on the 700 Club and Bro. John Thomas (Channel 22 in Houston, Texas), along with numerous secular, Christian and Short Wave radio interviews.
    David is on the board of EPHESIANS 5:11 and is an annual speaker at the Ministry to Masons Conferences. We are also affiliated with EX-MASONS FOR JESUS and other counter-cult ministries.

    Our counter-cult ministry is dedicated to exposing deeds of darkness and educating anyone interested about Bible Doctrines, Apologetics, Topical Bible Studies, Cults, Ritual Abuse, The Occult, False Religions, and Secret Societies such as Freemasonry. We offer many books/booklets, tracts, VCR and cassette tapes and and are available for Ministry Services such as personal speaking engagements or radio/T. V. interviews on these topics.
    We have written 19 books/booklets; several of them research different aspects about Freemasonry such as THE EGYPTIAN -MASONIC-SATANIC CONNECTION, and THE OCCULT MEANING OF THE GREAT SEAL.
    We also have a chapter in a book called, THE DARK SIDE OF FREEMASONRY, published by Huntington House, compiled by Ed Decker.     We co-hosted the annual Ritual Abuse and Secret Societies Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.  We minister to survivors and care-givers by sharing testimonies (video and audio available), poems and our faith in the healing power of God.  We have also written a healing workbook we call, FROM VICTIMS To VICTORS - THROUGH THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST- Gilead's Balm - A Healing Workbook for Ministers, Victim- Survivors, And All Christians who want to be Free through Jesus Christ.

Ministry Experience

David - Master Teaching Certificate from Church of God (Headquarters, Cleveland, Tennessee), General Baptist minister's training course, Associate Pastor 2 years for Riverside Nazarene Church in Evansville (also took their minister's training course),  Teacher at the Church of the Cross in Evansville.  Sunday School teacher in all of the above, plus Evangelism Director and Teacher in West Side Assembly of God, attended Free Will Baptist Church and many other independent Pentecostal churches and other denominations.  Has spoke at conferences in Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, and many other conferences.  He has also ministered in the churches that our ministry organized along with our home Bible study groups, prisons, and safe houses.  Researches and co-authors resource materials for our ministry.  David  has ministered at the Safe House, a half-way house affiliated with the local jail and in some prisons and will do so whenever the door is opened.

Donna - Sunday School teacher in General Baptist, Nazarene, and all of the churches our ministry organized along with teaching at our Home Bible Study meetings.  Speaker at the University of Indiana, Bloomington, In. at the Criminal Justice Class, and Women's Aglow in Chicago.  Ministered in Music and the prophetic gifts in many churches.  Researches, types, edits, co-authors books for the ministry along with phone ministry, and also distributes orders. 

Together we do personal ministry for survivors of abuse or other spiritual problems, marital problems, or for anyone who wants to be Free through Jesus Christ.  We also do research for other ministries on occasion, such as Words for Living, Tom McKenney. We have also done Street ministry and hospital, nursing home, and mental facilities visits.  Both of us have been guests on several TV, radio, and short wave programs, along with all of those areas in our own ministry.

We have worked both within the system of denominational churches, independent churches and our own ministry.  God has blessed us wherever we are and we have never left a group on bad terms.  God has truly called us to do a work for him and we follow His leading.

We have had a group that meets in our home every Saturday night for several years.

Ministry Platform

    We feel that God has instructed us to use Isaiah 58 as our ministry platform.  We have much work to do for the Lord.

(Isaiah 58 KJV) Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. {2} Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. {3} Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Personal Information

Our ministry does not have a big denomination backing us. The Bible speaks of the "church" or ekklesia, a called out or a popular meeting according to the Strong's Concordance.  We believe that it does not have to take place in a church building.  The people are the church, not the building!  We have a time of praise and worship in our home regularly and offer Followers of Jesus Christ Bible study to others when we are not speaking out of town.  Considering the issues we deal with, we do not fit in with most denominational churches.  We also feel we are in the end-times when most denominational churches are in an apostate condition.  We do believe there are sincere believers with in those walls who are being called out to be a part of the Remnant.  We pay for the radio and materials we print through our work at our jobs, and your donations and orders we receive. David works a secular job, but both of us research and write at home. We live in a modest mobile home in a mobile home court. The Lord continues to bless us. Praise the Lord!! 

We want to encourage you to be obedient to the Lord. Read our materials, or listen to our tapes.  Share with other Christians.  God will use you to help expose the unfruitful works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11)

And help restore your Brothers and Sisters in Christ (Galatians 6:1).

Ministry Needs Updated April 1, 2011:

1. Portable all in one - Semi-Professional Karaoke with CDG (TV screen not necessary) and double Cassette (play and record) with good volume speaker and separate microphone(s) and main volume controls, and Pitch or Key changer.  Good Used system OK.
2. Our computer system was donated to us, but we often need newer programs, paper, toner, etc.
3. We have never made money a criteria for anyone to get our materials, but as postage and producing materials cost is rising, that is getting harder and harder.  Any extra donations are much appreciated and we will continue to be able to do this.
4. We also minister to prisoners and any donation towards that area will be used for that area when specified.
5. A new computer chair with lumbar support for me (Donna).  The new mesh one at Staples with all the adjustments would be my dream.  Since I have many disabilities and spend many hours in the chair, it needs to be comfortable and sturdy.
6. An automatic label maker that will make 25 at a time. (almost $2,000)
7. Battery back up system
8. External DVD player (& Burner?) to connect to a computer that only has CD player.
9. A machine or program (software) that converts VCR tapes to DVD.
10. Webcam (one that can be shut off and on easily and can take still pictures)
11. Certain books (call and ask about our wish list)

Ministry to Masons Conferences

David is on the board of Ephesians 5:11 Organization and is a speaker at the Ministry to Masons Conferences.

"The first Ministry to Masons Conference was held in Washington D.C. in 1990.    The purpose of that first conference is best explained in a letter written by a former Mason.  Charlie Wiley wrote the letter and sent it to several ministries, including Saint's Alive in Jesus, In His Grip Ministries, HRT Ministries, and The John Ankerberg Show.   The first conference was a direct response to Charlie's letter.

Over time, the conferences have served different purposes for different people.   We asked several of the people who operate ministries which contribute to the conference what they believed the purpose to be.  Although their purposes are fully compatible, their answers to the question were quite different.  The purposes realized included the following:

These purposes are being realized.  The network of ministries and pastors who are concerned for the souls of Masons has grown and continues to grow.  Pastors have taken bold stands and have declared the truth about Freemasonry from the pulpit.   Where this has been done, division between the Church and the Lodge has resulted.   Some Masons repent, some don't.  (See Luke 12:51, Jesus came to bring division from the world, not peace with the world.)  Lay people have led friends and relatives to leave the Masonic Lodge to follow Jesus Christ.  Often, it does not take that much knowledge about Freemasonry to lead a man from the lodge.  Accurately knowing a few critical facts will often prove to be the key which opens the door for the Holy Spirit to do His work.   Information about Freemasonry, including Grand Lodge documents, continues to be made available to church leaders and lay people alike.  Conference sessions are video taped and tapes are made available on a cost recovery basis.

The legacy of the Ministry To Masons Conferences has been repentance in the lives of many Masons and revival in Churches which have taken a bold stand. We have lost count of the number of men who have left the Masonic Lodge as a result of knowledge which was provided through these cooperative efforts."

Vital Isaiah 61 Prayer Ministry Courses

Offered to Counselors, Pastors, Cell/Care group leaders, and all concerned Christians.

We were blessed to be affiliated with Jubilee Resource ministry from New Zealand.  Jubilee created the Vital Isaiah 61 Prayer ministry course using about 3/4 of our book, FROM VICTIMS To VICTORS - THROUGH THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST- Gilead's Balm - A Healing Workbook for Ministers, Victim- Survivors, along with some other sections they added and have conducted these courses in several areas of the world such as the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.  For a time we were also the US distributors for Jubilee and they also published our larger books in the new book format until just recently. 

Although we are no longer their distributors, we are indebted to them for the many contacts and the continuing Isaiah 61 Prayer ministry.

Synopsis of what the Vital Isaiah 61 Prayer Ministry is

This is an exciting Holy Spirit-led approach in ministering to people who have experienced painful memories and emotional distress as a result of lie or trauma-based incidents in their lives. Our goal is to help heal the wounded and guide them to freedom in Jesus Christ, and to provide a user-friendly resource tool for pastors, therapists, counselors and all Christians who care. The process is empowering and Christ-glorifying as the Lord Jesus Christ fulfils His role in Isaiah 9:6 as the "Wonderful Counselor." Similar processes of ministry have been taught by various Christian leaders for at least fifteen to twenty years and continue to be successfully used. 

Prior to teaching and demonstrating the Isaiah 61 Process, experience has shown that course attendees can be at a variety of levels of spiritual understanding. Some churches train their people well, while others are less successful. To lift all course attendees up to a satisfactory level, a number of foundational subjects are covered first. Most of these topics take a few minutes each, while others may take a little longer. 

These include Understanding Salvation; The Spiritual Realm; Who We Are in Christ; How to Hear God's Voice; Closing Legal Doors and Spiritual Hygiene; Curses; Soul-ties; Rash Vows; False Laying on Hands; Freemasonry and other occult effects on families; Forgiveness; & Rejection. 

In addition, we also provide some basic information on how to recognize D.I.D. (Disassociative Identity Disorder - previously known as Multiple Personality Disorder) and various forms of Ritual Abuse. Experience shows that many pastors and counselors are unable to provide significant assistance to those suffering from either of these problems. For everyone's safety and well-being, it is vital to recognize the symptoms, as well as one's own limitations. Competent experts are available, and we also have Advanced Courses specializing in these areas for those called to handle them. 

Much of the foundational material comes from Rev. Frank Mazullo (Florida), Rev. David and Donna Carrico (Indiana), and Dr. Selwyn Stevens & Dr. Philip Bennett (NZ). All have very fruitful and practical ministries, with Donna being an SRA survivor. The result is a comprehensive method that is simple and very effective. 

Jesus declared "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free," (John 8:32) and Himself to be "The Way, the Truth and the Life," (John 14:6) and the "Light" (John 8:12). 

In this healing process, we are privileged to become facilitators and witnesses as the Lord Himself does the healing and restoration work. No glory is afforded the facilitator, as we become "donkeys" bearing Jesus to the emotionally hurting and wounded. 

The promise of Isaiah 61 is that the Lord Jesus Christ will "bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, opening of the prison to them that are bound, comfort the mourners, ...give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, they shall become trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that He might be glorified. And they shall build ...they shall raise up... and they shall repair..." as they experience healing and Divine restoration. 

Most people seeking assistance and support for release from emotional pain through traditional counseling approaches are generally in possession of more knowledge and information than they can ever use, but to little avail. 

Many Christian people have been wounded in and through churches, when they are judged and told that they are to put their emotional pain from the past "behind them" and the "get on with their lives." The insistence that hurting people align themselves with Scripture, or telling them "We have done as much as we can for you, so now get up and get on with your life!" is of doubtful benefit, bringing only confusion, condemnation and despair. 

This is not to criticize those that are providing sound and balanced Scriptural-based counsel. Rather, this process is a complement to spiritually-sound transformation and the renewal of the mind (Romans 12:2) through the "washing of the water of the Word!" 

The Isaiah 61 approach produces reliable, predictable and consistent healing results. It differs from many other counseling approaches in that its success is not dependent on the therapist's wisdom and insight, or the personal effort and determination to maintain it. Once healing takes place it is maintenance-free because true healing is the work of the true healer - Jesus Christ! 

Where most therapies require an extensive background in psychological training, Isaiah 61 Ministry is Bible-based & is not dependent on any other theory of counseling. Using the principles, counseling time can be utilized more effectively and efficiently, and with far less stress for both the facilitator and the client. 

SPECIAL NOTE - almost every Christian denomination has been represented at this course (up to 15 denominations at one course) with approximately one-third Pastors & professional counselors.

Our Trip to Canada

CANADIAN ISAIAH 61 MINISTRY

Praise God for all the wonderful doors he has opened for our ministry! 

Thank you to all of you who prayed for us on our ministry trip to Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. 
We flew out on Thanksgiving day morning and arrived in Detroit, Michigan about noon. Phil Bennett and Anne Stevens (Selwyn's wife) of Jubilee Resources New Zealand came to pick us up and drive us over the border to Canada and on to our hotel. That evening Selwyn was speaking at the church where the Isaiah 61 Seminar was going to be held the next day. 
For those of you who are not aware of what was going on I will explain. A few years ago we wrote a book we called, GILEAD'S BALM- Seven Steps to Victory through Jesus Christ. We wrote it to use as a tool as we ministered to several different types of abused people. God had revealed some very important areas that needed concentrated prayer strategy and release. We have been using it for our ministry and also offer it as a resource along with our many other resources. We met Selwyn Stevens from Jubilee Resources from New Zealand when David and he spoke at a Ministry to Masons conference. As a result of that meeting, Selwyn was impressed with our materials and decided to publish our larger books through his ministry in a more acceptable book format.  He also showed a special interest in our FROM VICTIMS To VICTORS - THROUGH THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST- Gilead's Balm - A Healing Workbook for Ministers, Victim- Survivors, And All Christians who want to be Free through Jesus Christ and decided to incorporate some materials from his own ministry and a few others with it and form the Isaiah 61 Prayer Ministry seminars to teach others how to minister to survivors and working with another ministry, offer a certificate upon completion of the course. The manual comprises about 3/4 or more of our Victims To Victors book.   During this time, we were asked to become Jubilee Resources USA to help in the distribution of Selwyn's ministry resources for the United States. We accepted orders for books, answered questions, answered prayer requests and distributed the materials. Jubilee Resources were just beginning to offer the Isaiah 61 seminars over the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world.

As we had never really attended one of these courses ourselves, we were invited to attend the one in Sarnia, Canada.  As Selwyn was giving an Isaiah 61 overview we were allowed to share on different aspects of ministry. There were several teenagers that were greatly troubled with their witch, Satanist friends at school and we answered their questions and ministered to them individually after the meeting. It was a wonderful time in the Lord.
The next two days were spent in intense ministry to the attendees of the Isaiah 61 course and many people were set free from soul ties, iniquities, sins, and also demonic interference as they learned how to minister to others. As problems in their own lives were revealed, God set them free through our individual personal ministry with each one during breaks and after each session. Those who attended said they were greatly impressed and felt as though they were equipped with our materials and the help of the Lord to minister to others.
We really enjoyed meeting our Canadian brothers and sisters in the Lord and sharing our ministry with them. There was fellowship along with ministry and a lot of great food when we had time to eat it! 
On Sunday morning David and I and Ann were asked to come to another church while Selwyn ministered at the one where the seminar was held. We appreciated the warm welcome there and although none of us consulted with each other about our messages, they flowed together as God himself orchestrated it. Many lives were touched and tears flowed as we spent over an hour ministering to all those there.
We then returned to our hotel room and prepared to leave for home. The trip home was a bit difficult, and we finally got home about midnight, after being shoved off of our original flight, being re-routed to Cincinatti, Ohio and finally to Evansville because the flight had been over booked.
We met many great contacts with several invites for hospitality at their homes if we would do a return visit. We also met a visitor from the Toronto Airport Church and she gave me (Donna) a personal prophecy that confirmed many things the Lord has already spoken to me about. Before leaving for our trip I had had a vision and the Lord confirmed this vision through personal ministry with one of the seminar attendees.  Many of our prayers were answered and doors have been opened for further ministry in different parts of the world.

This chart compares Alien Abduction accounts and Ritual Abuse Accounts and is very informative.

These similarities have caused many researchers from different walks to believe that the experience is one and the same, with RA naturally being the more believable likelihood. The idea is put forth that those with alien abduction stories are/were really victims of a more "normal" type of abuse, and the alien abduction testimony is a sort of "screen memory," either brought about by psychological conditioning (ie., exposure to popular media), suggestion of the (ahem) therapist, or actually placed by the perpetrators hypnotically to cover their actions.

Be encouraged that both experiences can be ended and healed with proper counseling. The above charts may be helpful in ascertaining your need.
